Overweight and Obesity - Is It Just Gluttony?

Are you overweight, obese or morbidly obese?
Can we not stop eating or is it just gluttony?
Statistics show Mexico has the highest rate of obesity. Obesity in America use to be the highest until now. Obesity seems to be an epidemic. We are out of control and cannot stop eating.

Why?
You have to put on your personal armor just to look in the mirror and wonder what others must think of you. But still, you just can't stop eating. No worries we will find out why a little later.

What is Obesity?
A person with a body mass Index (Calculating BMI Overweight and Obesity Is It Just Gluttony?) of 30 or more is considered obese; 40 or more Calculating BMI is considered morbidly obese.
Studies show that those making $24,000 or less are more obese than those making over $50,000. Is it economics or the ability to make healthier choices?
Never the less, obesity is a health hazard to adults and children alike. Being overweight can make you feel or appear:
Sick
Tired
Unhealthy
Embarrassed
Greedy
Self Conscience
Unattractive
Worthless

A hunger hormone called ghrelin controls our desire for higher food intake and high calorie foods. It is found in normal levels in obese and morbidly obese people, so why do they continue to eat?
A person that is considered normal that gains weight will adjust their eating habits after a warning from the brain and adjust their food intake, while an overweight person will continue to eat.

What Causes Obesity?
After becoming overweight by eating the wrong foods, illnesses or a sedentary lifestyle, it seems that the ability for our brain to control hunger becomes flawed. No matter how they try, they still have the urge to eat more excelling their weight to extreme proportions. Studies reveal the molecular mechanism of the paradox of hyperphagis (urge or desire to eat) exist between the obese and normal weight. This difference enables the immunoglobulin's (antibodies) to transport more ghrelin (28 amino acid hunger stimulating hormones and peptides) to the brain of obese people boosting its stimulating action to food intake.

Is There a Solution for Obesity?
Studies on rodents have confirmed that ghrelin administered in combination with immunoglobulin's extracted from the blood of non obese rodents, enabling genetically obese rodents to restrict their food intake, the reverse is also true. Hopefully this wonderful breakthrough in the studies of obesity; improves the way we view ourselves and handle weight management.
There are flaws in our bodies we cannot explain and cannot control, but hopefully new discoveries such as this will cure obesity as we know it. These new discoveries concerning hyperphagis and obesity have opened the door of more advance ways to control obesity and the way we view it.
