Influence of Others On Goals

Close Friends Influence Thoughts
Take a moment and mimic best-selling self-help author Jim Rohn's philosophy. Ask yourself? Who are the five people that you surround yourself the most with? Do their actions, beliefs, activities and goals reflect the achievements that you want in life? Imagine being trapped in a box with those five people only hearing their beliefs, ideas, and perception of life. Even if another option was present it would be difficult to tap into those thoughts. Especially if those entrusted with intimate thoughts are negative and not supportive of what you are trying to achieve. Each day little by little your attitude is being shaped through the beliefs and values of these 5 people.

High-Jacking Goals
Does this sound familiar? Planning from the day before the entire day is laid out to perfection. Spending time with a close friend derailed the last two days missing both workout days. So here is today's routine:1.Get up early pack all my meals 2. Complete work tasks by 4:30pm 3.Get to the gym at 5:30

The day is going according to plan when your best friend, who always wants to hang out 5 days a week, calls with tickets to the game. They are fully aware of the plan and the demands during the week are important. The structure during the week provides focus and progress for achieving. Wouldn't it be more advantageous for them to find someone else and support the fact you have a goal in sight? How can anything get done when there is a constant rearrangement of your schedule to accommodate having fun.

To succeed, toning down this relationship for a moment would be the most practical thing to do. Align yourself with those who support the goals that have been set forth. Join a group that has many members striving for the same cause. Spend time with the group and foster new relationships and friendships. Be aware that some friends are not very receptive and as you reshape your life, your circle of friends may be reshaped too.

The Negative Person
This person must be taken out of your life immediately or ignored. They come in many shapes or forms. It could be a spouse, boyfriend, family member or even a parent who can be the most harmful. The key reason is because they are people, who at the moment their opinion was valued and trusted. As these are people you confide in the perception was that they would have your best interest at heart. Nevertheless this is not what is received from the "glass is half empty" card-carrying members of your inner circle. Here are some traits that you should look out for: 1.Constant criticism 2. Controlling behavior (impeding progress by demanding time) 3.Mind Control (subconsciously making suggestive ideas to change your direction) 4.Stifling Creativity (Your ideas are never good enough unless they approve) 5.

Denouncing Dreams
The famous quote "Misery Loves Company " is the mantra of the negative person. Realize that the success achieved is in contrast to the sum of efforts applied to the goal. Remove the negativity by refraining to share details with those who don't support your goals. Or end the relationship with this person who is dragging you down. "Birds of a feather flock together." Stick with people in your network who support the goals and desires that you aspire to achieve. The closest people within your circle have a tremendous influence on the thoughts and actions experienced. Eliminate extra baggage and surround yourself with people with similar goals and dreams.
