Influence of Others On Goals

Close Friends Influence Thoughts
Take a moment and mimic best-selling self-help author Jim Rohn's philosophy. Ask yourself? Who are the five people that you surround yourself the most with? Do their actions, beliefs, activities and goals reflect the achievements that you want in life? Imagine being trapped in a box with those five people only hearing their beliefs, ideas, and perception of life. Even if another option was present it would be difficult to tap into those thoughts. Especially if those entrusted with intimate thoughts are negative and not supportive of what you are trying to achieve. Each day little by little your attitude is being shaped through the beliefs and values of these 5 people.

High-Jacking Goals
Does this sound familiar? Planning from the day before the entire day is laid out to perfection. Spending time with a close friend derailed the last two days missing both workout days. So here is today's routine:1.Get up early pack all my meals 2. Complete work tasks by 4:30pm 3.Get to the gym at 5:30

The day is going according to plan when your best friend, who always wants to hang out 5 days a week, calls with tickets to the game. They are fully aware of the plan and the demands during the week are important. The structure during the week provides focus and progress for achieving. Wouldn't it be more advantageous for them to find someone else and support the fact you have a goal in sight? How can anything get done when there is a constant rearrangement of your schedule to accommodate having fun.

To succeed, toning down this relationship for a moment would be the most practical thing to do. Align yourself with those who support the goals that have been set forth. Join a group that has many members striving for the same cause. Spend time with the group and foster new relationships and friendships. Be aware that some friends are not very receptive and as you reshape your life, your circle of friends may be reshaped too.

The Negative Person
This person must be taken out of your life immediately or ignored. They come in many shapes or forms. It could be a spouse, boyfriend, family member or even a parent who can be the most harmful. The key reason is because they are people, who at the moment their opinion was valued and trusted. As these are people you confide in the perception was that they would have your best interest at heart. Nevertheless this is not what is received from the "glass is half empty" card-carrying members of your inner circle. Here are some traits that you should look out for: 1.Constant criticism 2. Controlling behavior (impeding progress by demanding time) 3.Mind Control (subconsciously making suggestive ideas to change your direction) 4.Stifling Creativity (Your ideas are never good enough unless they approve) 5.

Denouncing Dreams
The famous quote "Misery Loves Company " is the mantra of the negative person. Realize that the success achieved is in contrast to the sum of efforts applied to the goal. Remove the negativity by refraining to share details with those who don't support your goals. Or end the relationship with this person who is dragging you down. "Birds of a feather flock together." Stick with people in your network who support the goals and desires that you aspire to achieve. The closest people within your circle have a tremendous influence on the thoughts and actions experienced. Eliminate extra baggage and surround yourself with people with similar goals and dreams.

Lose Weight Slowly To Keep It Off

How many times have you gone on a quick extreme diet to lose weight and been successful but regained all of the lost weight and more once you stopped dieting? For many people the yo-yo effect is common and frustrating.
Fast weight loss is mostly the loss of water and muscle not from burning fat. Once the diet is stopped, you start eating as you did before you started the diet which just puts the weight right back on. You should aim to lose small amounts of weight over a longer period of time. How much depends on your goal as well as your general health. Too rapid a weight loss can impact your health as the body does not get the required nutrients and vitamins necessary to keep functioning.

When people go on a starvation diet, their metabolism will slow down and this leads to no weight loss. When your metabolism shuts down, the production of the hormone leptin is reduced. This hormone is necessary to control appetite as well as produce weight loss.
You need to keep your metabolism running at normal speed in order to maintain the production of leptin. This in turn leads to weight loss.

In order to lose weight and keep it off, you need to aim for small successes. Then you will maintain the motivation necessary t continue with your weight loss plan.
Many diets talk about losing weight rapidly but they do not necessarily tell you how to keep it off. People will not remain on a diet forever, in fact some diets are dangerous as they focus on eating only one type of food, cutting many other things out of your diet and not being nutritionally healthy. No wonder people quit them. The are boring and you can feel fatigued because your body is not working at a normal healthy pace.

You need to be able to follow a way of eating, not a diet for the long term. Most if not all diets are short term solutions to a problem. You need to pick a plan that maintains the nutrition that your body needs that must also be a part of a lifestyle change that you make at the same time. You will need to follow this plan forever. If you cannot then the diet that you are following will not work for you in the long term.

There are no short cuts to losing weight. You will need to make a lifestyle change in order to keep the fat off for the long term. That is the truth whether yo like it or not.

Just How Hard Is Weight Loss After Baby? 3 Shortcuts to Getting It Off and Keeping It Off

Weight gain during pregnancy is cute isn't it? There's that little bundle of joy all snug inside of Mom's belly, and even if Mom has blown up to the size of a house, it's really all about the baby. After baby's arrival, however, the baby weight that was so cute just a month ago is suddenly your worst enemy. Many women struggle to return to pre-pregnancy weight after baby makes his or her appearance, and if Mom and Dad want more babies... well, let's just say for some, it means a new-ahem--larger wardrobe. For good. Adios skinny jeans...

I am acutely aware that this reality is painful for some of you. Even reading the paragraph above might sting. I am not here to make light of a tender situation. I am here to get you to think about a solution. Perhaps you already have. Has it worked? Does it require more than you are prepared to give? What does it change? Your body? Your mind? Your behaviors? I want to help you by offering 3 shortcuts that will get you started. I'm not promising the body of your dreams in the next 3 weeks. I don't have pills. I'm not a personal trainer. I don't have a Master's Degree in nutritional counseling or psychology. But I do have hope. I have hope for you mamas who are desperately trying to get that baby weight off so you feel like yourself again. I know.

I've been there. And let me give you a bit of encouragement: you are an awesome mama. Taking care of your minis is priority #1. Yay for you! But the reality is that when you are taking care of yourself, you can take care of your minis better. More energetically. With more patience. With greater attention to their needs. So let's get started...

1. Increase your protein. Many women struggle with weight loss because they don't understand the necessity of protein and the role it plays in their bodies. There is mounting evidence that eating a high protein diet (roughly 90 grams distributed evenly throughout the day) contributes to long-term weight loss and overall health. Consider the following research-based ideas:

• High protein diets offer a high satiety value, so it helps us feel fuller longer and helps reduce cravings.

• High protein diets help us retain muscle as we lose weight.

• Higher protein diets support a higher metabolic rate, so more calories are burned throughout the day.

*Little hint: the kind of protein you consume does matter. But we can talk about that later. For now, just focus on increasing yours by consuming all-natural protein with as little processing as possible.

2. Add weight training to your exercise regimen. Aren't exercising at all? Start with weight training. In contrast to cardio training, weight training increases your metabolic rate 24 hours a day. Translation: you will burn more calories at rest than someone who only does cardio training exercise. The result? Greater and faster weight loss after baby, or anytime. Added bonus: Definition!

3. Clean up your diet. Aren't eating whole, organic meats, fruits, and veggies? I could write a book on this without special training, but I'll leave you with this one thought: who do you think the chemicals, pesticides, fungicides, hormones, and GMOs benefit? You, the consumer? Think again. Get clean, people. And miraculously, you will lose the headaches, anxiety, and yes, baby weight that led you here in the first place.
