What is the "Caveman" Diet?
The "Caveman" diet, is a diet that was created in the Paleolithic period. (For those of you who don't know what the Paleolithic period is, think "Caveman" era.) The period lasted about 2.5 million years, and ended approximately 10,000 years ago.The Caveman diet trains your body to crave good and healthy foods, and trains your body to eat at regular intervals. Eating at regular intervals boosts your metabolic rate (the rate at which your body burns fat) and keeps it at a more consistant level.
The diet has several stages to get you to this point. At first, to some people, it seems a little funky, but at the end of the diet your mind will be trained on how to eat healthier, and your body will be trained to crave healthier foods, and not want to eat certain food, like fast food for example. All of this will be supported even more so by the transition that your body will go through, as you will see noticeably in the mirror as time goes by.
The Caveman diet will demolish body fat throughout troublesome areas of your body, and it will also help bring the sugar levels throughout your body to normal levels. (Closer to those of the original cavemen, due to their diet consisting of only natural sugars, and really not much of it.) The diet will also help eliminate toxins from your body, and by the end you will feel much better, and be more motivated to eat healthier, as it will just become natural to you and your body.
What makes the Caveman diet so successful?
The Caveman diet is successful for several reasons, and all of them are based off of what the diet does for the body;1.) Being a diet, it causes the body to lose weight, particularly fat. You body will naturally get itself closer to its desired weight. As a result, this diet will make you feel better, healthier, more fit, energetic, active, and all around good. (The Caveman diet even has the potential to lift your self esteem, by making yourself look just down right sexy.)
2.) The diet will naturally increase your bodies energy levels. Due to the diet making your body go into a slight "fight or flight" mode, your body will automatically access your animal instincts, which will in turn give you more energy. This energy surge is the bodies way to ensure you can find, and obtain food to survive. The longer you are on the Caveman diet, you will notice this energy surge more and more, and you will also notice an increase in actual energy levels, as well as the energy lasting longer, and having a higher energy reserve. (Have you ever felt really sluggish and tired after eating a really fatty burger, fast food, or over stuffing yourself with moms signature spaghetti?)
3.) The Caveman Diet will detox your body. In this day and age, fast food is definitely thrown into the mix of daily / weekly / monthly meals. Most of the food on the market, especially if it is pre-made, frozen meals, packaged foods, or processed meats all have toxins. We, as a society consume, left right and center, toxin, after toxin and leads to a build up of toxins in our bodies. The Caveman Diet is here to resolve this issue. By removing toxins from your body, you will feel cleaner, more focused, and even have a better mood. Your insides will become cleaner, your skin will become clearer, your hair, and nails will become stronger and you will just feel all around better about yourself and your life.
4.) The Caveman Diet taps into your bodies natural "animal instincts", the same instincts that are activated when you need to survive (hence the fight or flight comment from an earlier paragraph.) Due to this phenomena, your senses will become clearer, stronger, and sharper. You will become more focused and driven to do the things that you want to do.
Stage One
Stage
one of the Caveman diet will need to last a minimum of 2 weeks, and no
longer than 4 weeks. To prepare your body for a shocking wake up call.
Morning;
Every morning when you very first wake up, drink a normal sized glass of water 8oz. (I personally take a 16oz bottle of water to bed with me every night, and keep it on my night stand, and when I wake up I chug it on down!) Drinking water as soon as you wake up, awakens your body, you won't feel as lethargic or tired, and you will be more energized and feel better about starting your day!
During the day;
During the day, you will need to help yourself to a handful of fruit and unsalted nuts throughout the day, just make sure it is not dried fruit, as it is full of sugars. You will start to detox almost immediately, if you are hungry, just push yourself to wait for dinner, and don't over do it on the fruit and nuts.
Night time;
For the first couple weeks, at night you are allowed to eat whatever you want, at whatever time you want. As long as you only eat once. Allow yourself to eat pizza, burgers, even moms spaghetti. At the end of the Caveman diet, you will learn how much you really..really..don't like these foods.

however, the focus is to get to the next stage.

First thing, as usual, chug down that cup or bottle of water left on your nightstand from the night before.
During the day;
Eat NOTHING, all day long. Absolutely nothing, not even a chip, a cracker, a gummy bear, nothing. Your body will be detoxing itself throughout the day, if you feel hungry, just keep drinking water. Your body and your mind, will actually find this surprisingly easy after you have finished stage one of the Caveman diet. At all costs, wait until dinner to eat, just keep in mind that you spent 2-4 weeks preparing for stage two, if you slip up even one time during stage two, you just threw away all you worked for the past 2-4 weeks.
Night time;
The only change on this, is what to eat. Don't eat burgers, or pizza, or things that you had been eating previously. Eat at any time that you'd like, even if its 3am, and you need to be up at 6am, eat.

- ANY Kind of meat, fish, chicken, steak (I personally prefer steaks)
- Eggs (Only from free range birds)
- Small amounts of fruit
- Vegetables (I saute steak cubes with green bell peppers and white onions, tastes great!)
- Nuts (Almonds work the best)
- Berries (Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries are all very good for you.)
Stage Three (The Final Stage)
The
Final stage of the Caveman Diet. This stage can be followed for as long
as you desire, the longer you follow it, it will become even easier,
and second nature to you, the more weight you will lose, the healthier
you will become, and the happier you will feel down to your very core.
Morning;
The same thing we've been doing for 6-10 weeks now, drink that bottle, or cup of water!
During the day;
When your body is hungry, feed it. Your body, at this point, should only be craving healthy foods, nuts, vegetables, meat, no processed foods. Satisfy any cravings you may have with these healthy foods. Teach yourself, and your body to graze on small amounts throughout the day. This will keep your metabolic rate high, and constantly burning stored energy.
Night time;
The same as lunch, only make it a meal! Stick with the healthy foods, meats, vegetables, stay away from potatoes and sweet potatoes. Throw different vegetables in the mix, your body at this time will enjoy, and love the healthy food you have been feeding it for the past 2 months. Make the healthy choice, and you will never go back to the old way you had been eating before, and unfortunately, your mother will be sad that you no longer eat her spaghetti, but who knows, maybe you can teach her the ways of the Caveman Diet, and show her how amazing she will feel by the time she starts the final stage!
The purpose of the Caveman Diet is to get your body, and your mind, craving those healthy foods. Once you've reverted back to your animal & survival instincts and no longer need the bad foods that the majority of the population consumes on a regular basis, Pounds will be dropping off, and you will be healthier, and more lean.
From this point on, eating healthy, losing weight, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle comes easy and instinctively.
